Phase 9: Condition Compliance Review

County staff conduct a periodic review of discretionary permits to ensure compliance with approved conditions.

What happens

Congratulations, you can inaugurate your project. Your conditions of approval and any Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP) apply for the life of the permit. The County reviews discretionary permits for compliance no less than every three years, or sooner on complaint or by permit terms. Any deviation from the approved conditions is a violation.

What you need

  • Full understanding of, and ongoing compliance with, your conditions of approval and MMRP
  • Prompt response to any Notice of Violation (NOV), 90 days to abate before penalties up to $1,000 per violation per day
